T he Gonzalez-Roel Family has been serving Tampa families since the early 1970's. The family began serving Tampa in the funeral profession in 1975 when the family started Roel & Curry Funeral Home with Mark Curry, Jr. Their reputation as being sincere and caring is well known to the families of Tampa.

Unfortunately, by the 1990's many family funeral homes were bought out by large out of state corporations, changing the landscape of the traditional family owned funeral homes forever.

In 1996 Julio Gonzaez-Roel affiliated with a major corporation and founded Gonzalez Funeral Home. For ten years Julio served thousands of Tampa familes. Gonzalez Funeral Home soon became the largest funeral home in Hillsborough County.

However, the longing for the old days of running a family owned funeral home was ever present. When the opportunity became available to purchase the Glass Funeral Home, the Gonzalez-Roel family knew it was the right time to continue their legacy in their own family run funeral home. The family bought the funeral home in 2006 and hopes to serve Tampa for many years to come.
